Does the following dvd recorder/hdd recorder have the following feature?

I have found this 80gb dvd/hdd recorder from Sony. If you want to know the exact product, go to www.sonystyle.co.uk and write RDRHX525S.CEK on their search engine. Now I know that the recorder does not have freeview, but if I connected let’s say an idTV to it or a freeview box, will I be able to record from that and use the one touch recording feature on it.
And oh the second part of the question, there is a deal on sonystyle.co.uk where you can get a tv along with this the product number is KDFE50ARDRTN.YG, I was wondering if both the tv adn the dvd/hdd recorder used the same remote controll, if it did it would be a lot easier than using two remotes at the same time.
